Question: what was Carrie Bradshaw’s fictional walk-in closet stacked with on Sex and the City? Answer: Manolo Blahniks. (You’re welcome, future trivia night winner.) For today’s well-heeled set, this collection of iconic footwear from the 1970s to the present is a must-see. Alongside more than 200 flamboyant shoes, the exhibit also includes rare sketches that reveal Blahnik’s influences, from botany to architecture, plus footage of the Spanish designer at work, and a candy-coloured array of heels created for Sofia Coppola’s 2006 film Marie Antoinette.
