Many of the basement home theatres that DE designs and installs could give neighbourhood cinemas a run for their money. While leather recliners, acoustic panelling and ultra-HD projectors are all standard issue, a couple of DE’s projects have even incorporated amphitheatre-style columns and red-velvet curtains. Clients who prefer their screening spaces a little more understated can conceal their living room flat-screen behind artwork mounted to a motorized panel that lifts up when it’s movie time.
