Georgia O’Keeffe

This retrospective charts the career of one of modernism’s most acclaimed painters. The collection of over 100 works includes her early charcoal drawings, completed when she was a teacher in Virginia in the 1910s, and follows through to her famous floral still-life canvases and New Mexico landscapes. Her nickname for this region, “The Black Place,” is reflected in the dark crevasses that define her evocative, stylized depictions of its mountain ranges. $20
