On November 7-8, DesignThinkers Toronto returns for its 18th year. Presentations will offer the Association of Registered Graphic Designers’ (RDG) signature variety of perspectives in four streams: inspiration, strategy, trends and interactions.
The schedule is packed with presentations delivered by an outstanding roster of speakers, including the creative director of Johnson Banks, the senior UX manager at Sony Playstation and Citi’s global head of design. For typographers, Maria Doreuli and Ekaterina Kochkina of the design collective Contrast Foundry offer a Russian-Dutch perspective on letters, while Scott Dadich, former editor in chief and creative director of WIRED magazine, talks about overseeing the publication’s top-to-bottom redesign.
On November 6, RDG will hand out maps and passports for Studio Open Doors, a day to discover the workspaces of the city’s top creative agencies from Critical Mass to john st advertising. Also worth exploring is the Design Marketplace, where graphic design professionals get hands-on with the latest products, technologies and services raising the bar in their industry.
An unmissable conference for in-house designers driven to innovate, or those simply looking for creative inspiration.
Online registration closes Nov 2.
