At last, the cage surrounding The Canary District has come down

The TTC’s newest 514 streetcar line zips straight to the city’s next hot ‘hood: The Canary District. After being fenced off for the past year, the former Pan Am Athletes’ Village is now a hub for all things health and wellness. The Cooper Koo YMCA features a range of modern fitness amenities, while the extra-wide Front Street Promenade is perfect for an urban stroll, lined with such whimsical sculptures as a bouquet-like cluster of lamps by Tadashi Kawamata.
